La respuesta rápida

Usa un comparative adjective — normalmente adjetivo + -er, o more + adjetivo — para comparar exactamente dos personas o cosas. Se dice My house is bigger than yours, no My house is more big.

La regla

Un comparative compara dos cosas, y la segunda suele venir después de than. Los adjetivos cortos (de una sílaba, y algunos de dos) añaden -er: tall → taller than. Una sola vocal más consonante duplica la consonante: big → bigger than. Una -y final cambia a -i: happy → happier than. Los adjetivos más largos usan more en vez de una terminación: beautiful → more beautiful than. Algunos adjetivos comunes son irregulares: good → better than, bad → worse than.
