Did ile olumsuz ve soru nedir?

Did not geçmişte hayır der, Did geçmişi sorar: I did not go. Did you see? Did bütün öznelerle aynıdır: I, you, he, she, it, we ve they hep aynı sözcüğü kullanır. Esas fiil did ile asla değişmez.

Kural

Olumsuz cümlede did not ile yalın fiil kullanılır: She did not eat. Soruda Did öznenin önüne geçer: Did she eat? Kısa cevaplarda did kalır: Yes, I did. No, I did not.

Bir tane did yeter. Did geçmişi zaten gösterdiği için arkasından -ed ya da düzensiz geçmiş form gelmez.
