ما الفرق بين comparative و superlative adjectives؟

تقارن صفة المقارنة بين شيئين اثنين بالضبط، مثل bigger. أما صفة التفضيل المطلق فتقارن شيئاً واحداً بمجموعة كاملة من ثلاثة أشياء أو أكثر، مثل the biggest. تحتاج صفات التفضيل المطلق دائماً إلى the قبلها، بينما لا تحتاجها صفات المقارنة غالباً.
