No. El inglés nunca usa it para presentar algo que estás mostrando o señalando en ese momento, aunque tu idioma lo permita. Di this is my new phone, no it is my new phone. Solo se pasa a it después de que this haya presentado la cosa.

¿Tengo que repetir this cada vez que menciono algo?

No. Usa this solo la primera vez, y luego pasa a it. This is my coffee, it is too hot es correcto; this is my coffee, this is too hot suena raro, porque this siempre señala algo nuevo o presente en ese momento.
