When we talk about our life experiences (things we have done at some point in our lives), we use the Present Perfect. We don't say exactly when these things happened; we just care that they are part of our history! 🎯
| Form | Structure | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Positive ✅ | Subject + have/has + V3 | I have seen that movie. |
| Negative ❌ | Subject + haven't/hasn't + V3 | She hasn't been to Japan. |
| Question ❓ | Have/Has + Subject + V3? | Have you ever tried sushi? |
| Word | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Ever | At any time in your life | Have you ever met a famous person? |
| Never | At no time in your life | I have never broken a bone. |
| Just | A very short time ago | I have just finished my coffee. |
| Already | Earlier than expected | They have already left. |
| Yet | Until now (Questions/Negatives) | I haven't seen the new film yet. |
Remember: If you say when (yesterday, in 2010), use the Past Simple (I saw him yesterday). 🚀
