Hello there! Today we are learning how to talk about who owns something in English. We will learn when to use the possessive 's, the word of, and the question word whose. These are very important for A1 beginners! π¬
We use 's to show that something belongs to a person or an animal.
We use of (and NOT 's) when we talk about things or places.
These two sound exactly the same, but they mean different things!
| Word | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Whose | Who owns this? | Whose car is this? |
| Who's | Who is | Who's that man? |
Are you ready to practice? Let's go! π
